Spring Book and Author Luncheon Features Local Writers
Join the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library for their Spring Book and Author Luncheon on February 23, 2017 at the Shady Valley Country Club. This annual event is a great opportunity to enjoy an elegant meal and conversation with other book lovers. Tickets are required and are $30 each.
The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library traditionally offer their Book and Author Luncheons twice a year. The luncheons showcase local writers while raising funds for Library programs and services. Judson Stone and Jim Whiddon are this season’s featured authors.
Judson Stone is the author of A Last Chapter of the Greatest Generation: The Life and Family of Colonel Frederick A. Stone, M.D. This family biography details how Colonel Stone’s life was changed by his decision to join the Army in 1941.
In addition to writing, Jim Whiddon is a business owner, wealth adviser, and radio show host. He is the author of The Old School Advantage: Timeless Tools for Every Generation. This guidebook to success doesn’t focus on just career or school, but on life overall.
Enjoy meeting these local authors while supporting the Library’s work in Arlington. Tickets are available online, through February 15.
