May - Gardening and Water Conservation at the Southwest Branch

The
City of Arlington has made water conservation a top priority.
The conservation program is part of a regional effort to help
plan for future water supply needs and meet the requirements of the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality and Texas Water Development Board. One of the ways we are helping
at the library is with two demonstration gardens at the
Southwest Branch. The
interactive maps are available on the city's website.

We have many other great resources available at the library that

the Dirt Doctor) who writes an organic gardening column for the
Dallas Morning News and hosts a talk show on gardening for WBAP
radio. His website is packed with useful information, including an
archive of his articles for the DMN.
