Services Offered by the Library

Children's Learning Centers

All library locations offer designated areas for children 12 and under to work on schoolwork. The Children's Learning Centers provide access to child-friendly Internet computers, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, online learning tools, books, DVDs, audiobooks and other materials that are especially helpful to students in self-directed learning activities. A child library card is required to access the Internet. Study guides and test preparation books are also available

LearningExpress Library

This valuable online resource features test preparation for GED, SAT, and more, as well as interactive skills improvement in areas like reading, writing, and math.

Learning Zone by Arlington Reads

Free tutoring and homework assistance for students in 1st - 3rd grade. Volunteer tutors are available for tutoring. For more information call 817-459-6985 or stop by the George W Hawkes Central Library - Arlington Reads office, ask for the Homework Center Coordinator.
