Arlington Reads needs volunteer tutor to help with the Adult Literacy Program. No experience required, minimum age is eighteen years old.  To become a tutor of to refer someone that could benefit from this program call 817-275-3321.

Arlington Humane Society is a no-kill, non-profit, privately funded Society chartered and operated for the purpose of helping animals through community education and awareness. Toward this end, the goal of the Arlington Humane Society is to teach responsible pet ownership.

City of Arlington - various department such as:
Animal Services, Police Community Affairs, Parks and Recreation, Forestry, Fire Prevention, and Police Victim Assistance Program to name a few.

Friends of the Arlington Public Library raises funds for special library purposes and programs through semi-annual book sales and book and author luncheons. Since its organization in 1987, the Friends fund raising efforts have resulted in more than $450,000 in gifts for the library system.  FAPL, P. O. Meals-on-Wheels of Arlington is a not-for-profit charitable organization, and provides hot, nourishing meals to elderly and disabled persons who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. The meals, daily contact by caring volunteers and professional case management allow frail, homebound persons to remain in their own homes.

Mission Arlington works to meet the great variety of needs in our community. It is a close, networked group of individuals, families, civic and governmental organizations, schools, businesses, churches and social agencies working together to make a difference in Arlington.
