Drought Conditions are Here
August 4, 2011
ARLINGTON, TX—
Texas is experiencing the worst drought in more than half a century. No rain means our water supplies are shrinking and outdoor watering has a significant impact on our reservoirs.
The city’s Drought Contingency Plan requires that we start stage 1 drought restrictions when the combined storage capacity of Tarrant Regional Water District reservoirs, our water supplier, reaches 75%.
Please check the city's website for important tips and videos on how to prepare for a drought and report a water leak.
