Electricity Outage May 12

The George W. Hawkes Central Library will be closed by Oncor for electrical maintenance work on Thursday, May 12th from 9 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. All other library locations will be open, but will not have public internet access. While the Central Library is without power the library catalog will be offline and services which rely on library account information, such as OverDrive, will be interrupted. We regret any inconvenience this causes you.

Services that will be unavailable during the outage include:

• Access to fines, fees, items out, and renewal information
• The library catalog, either from a computer in the library or on the web
• ALL public Internet services, including at the Hugh Smith and Eunice Senior Centers
• Inbound and outbound phone notification (holds/overdues)
• OverDrive digital media
