ARLINGTON, TX—

As the owner of a small consulting firm, Lawrence Webb takes advantage of computer training classes at the George W. Hawkes Central Library.
“Staying on top of technology is a must,” Webb said. “The software classes in particular have been very helpful.”
Webb and other Arlington residents will now receive additional assistance at the library’s new Ruthie Brock and Allan Saxe Technology Training Center, which was dedicated Saturday by Mayor Robert Cluck, city leaders and library patrons.
The center, which includes 12 student computers and a 55-inch instructor’s monitor, will offer classes on basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, advanced software programs, online genealogy, digital photography, and more.
