“I get to know the patrons in our community...”

As the Public Services Coordinator for the Lake Arlington Branch Library, I play a supervisory role in the daily operations of our building, which involves anything from scheduling to training to mentoring. More importantly, I get to know the patrons in our community and help them find the resources they need to live, learn, connect, and grow.

I saw a news story about a project started up by Kate Atwood. Apparently she collects lost and damaged photos of the victims of April's storms. My wife and I know what it's like to be so badly hurt by natural disasters. I have been repairing and restoring photos for my family that date as far back as 1881...believe me, these were not well cared for and some had extensive damage. When I saw this story it occurred to me many of the photos of these families, lost in the tornadoes, would be damaged. In some cases, very badly. I'd like to volunteer to restore these for them. Please let me know, or have her contact me, if I may be able to help in that fashion.

Hi Mrs. Fry! I just started volunteering at the Lake Arlington Library and I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! I am a junior at Martin HS and I love to read scientific articles.
