Are you a bookworm? Prove it by volunteering to serve as our library mascot, Read! Read loves to go out to elementary and middle schools, community events, and library programs to share his love of books and inspire kids to read.

Responsibilities:

• Wear the READ costume and attend community events.

Required Skills:

• A pageant-like wave.
• Excellent dance moves.
• A positive and playful attitude.
• A toleration of heat, and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Availability during the evenings and on weekends is a plus.

Read had a fun day at one of the city's Volunteer Fairs. He even got to go one on one against a very famous cow! You can guess who won. Read graciously accepted the cow's congratulations.
