Arlington teens now have two options at the library to hangout and connect with other teens. They can connect virtually with our new teen Discord server or in person at Maker Teen programs held in the Makerspace at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library

De-Stress Tuesday

Arlington Public Library is excited to share our new Teen Corner, a Discord server just for Arlington teens! The Discord is meant to be a virtual extension of library services and resources for teens, along with providing a virtual programming space. Our first program on Discord will be De-Stress Tuesday. Join us every Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. to learn some self-care tips, hang out, and decompress.

To join the Discord, please go through our online application here. Parental/Guardian approval is required. Teens will receive an invitation to join the server from a library staff member within two business days. Per Discord's Terms of Service, students 12 and under cannot be on Discord and therefore are unable to participate in our Discord. Participants are expected to follow the Library's Expectations of Behavior at all times.

Maker Teens

Join the Makerspace staff at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library (100 S. Center St., Arlington, TX 76010) for a new Maker activity each Saturday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. through December 12th. Activities change each week, so make sure to check our calendar and register for the ones you’re interested in!

First time to our Makerspace? Head up to the 2nd floor past the computers into the Tinker and Innovate Rooms!
