November is National Novel Writing Month, and the Arlington Public Library is here to support local authors as they write a new novel in just 30 days! Since 1999, authors have challenged themselves to write 50,000 words of a new project in November. The Arlington Public Library is partnering with NaNoWriMo, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization behind the challenge, to offer a variety of writing events to support authors as they write.

NaNoWriMo is a celebration of creativity, community, and storytelling. Books like The Night Circus, Fangirl, Wool, and Water for Elephants all started as National Novel Writing Month projects.

Every year, writers push themselves to meet new goals, connecting with other authors along the way. The Arlington Public Library is hosting events for writers to meet their NaNoWriMo community support team, as well as writing workshops and weekly cowriting sessions.
