Enjoy a day created just for children with Día de los Niños, also known as Children’s Day! The Arlington Public Library will host a come and go celebration on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the East Library and Recreation Center.

Día de los Niños is a nationally recognized celebration of children all over the world. It honors children, families, and reading, with a goal of providing kids with the opportunity to develop a greater appreciation for books, stories, and libraries.

Families are encouraged to join the fun and celebrate the importance of literacy for children. Free books will be available during the event for children to take home. While you’re there, make sure you get a library card so you can have access to free children’s books all year long!

Attendees will also be able to enjoy fun crafts and games, free food, face painting, stilt walkers, and a bounce house. St. Maria Gorettis’ Folklorico, UTA Sax Choir, Arlington Community Band, and Sabor Puro will be performing.
