Discover Summer Fun For All Ages at the Arlington Public Library

The Arlington Public Library is ready for a new season of Discover Summer. Everyone is invited to visit and enjoy fun activities all summer long. The Discover Summer program runs from June 1 through July 31 at all library locations. Free programs, classes, experiences, and more will be available for all ages.

Join our reading challenges on Beanstack for the chance to win prizes. There are prizes available for children, teens, and adults. Create a Beanstack account for yourself or your family, and you’re instantly connected to the Arlington Public library’s reading program. Beanstack keeps track of every minute and every page. Download Beanstack on your mobile device, search for Arlington Public Library, and join our Discover Summer challenge. When you create your account, select your favorite branch, and start tracking your reading.

• Select your Discover Summer Challenge
• Log your reading and activities to earn badges all summer long
• Use those badges to enter to win prizes

This summer we also have a new community challenge to read two million minutes. When you create your account, select your branch, and start tracking your reading.

George W. Hawkes Downtown Library

Enjoy fun activities and bust a move with the DJ at the Library’s summer Kickoff Celebration. Then head over to the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library for more activities! This event is free and open to the public.

Discover Summer End Party 

Saturday, July 29, 10 a.m. to noon

East Library and Recreation Center

Summer's over, but we're going out with a bang! Join us as we wrap up Discover Summer with a big celebration. Stop by to hang out, pick up prizes, and have a great time. This event is free and open to the public.
