Volunteering is one of the most powerful ways to give back, grow personally, and connect with your community. At the Arlington Public Library, our volunteers are vital to the work we do—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Join us for our Volunteer Recruitment Drive on Saturday, August 30 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, where you can explore the many ways to get involved. Meet current volunteers, hear their stories, and find a role that fits your interests, skills, and schedule.

No matter your background or stage of life, there’s a place for you:

  • Students can earn service hours and gain experience.
  • Professionals can build new skills or share existing ones.
  • Retirees can stay engaged and make an impact.
  • And anyone with a passion for helping others is welcome.

This interactive event features hands-on activities, creative crafts, and friendly conversations to help you take the first step toward meaningful service.

Ready to explore opportunities now?

Your time and talents matter. Come find out how you can make a difference with the Arlington Public Library.
