What is Beanstack?

Beanstack is the world’s easiest way to keep track of all the books you read. You can use Beanstack to track the minutes you read, log activities, and redeem tickets for prize drawings.

How do I access Beanstack?

There are two ways to use Beanstack: Visit our Beanstack web page, or download the free Beanstack app from your device's app store.

How do I set up Beanstack?

1) Download Beanstack app from your app store.

2) Search for Arlington Public Library and select.

3) Create an account, register all participants, and sign up for challenges.

4) Begin to log reading and activities!

Click here to create an account on your computer.

Can I sign up more than one reader on one account?

Yes, you can set up as many profiles as you like for readers of any age. This makes it easy to log reading for everyone in your family. You can even record time for all your readers at once. If you are making an account for your child, we recommend first making an account for yourself and then adding your children as readers.

Do I need to register if I participated last year?

No! If you registered previously, all you need to do is sign in. You may be prompted to update information on yourself and any readers. If you are having trouble logging in, try the "Forgot Your Password" option.

What is a challenge?

Challenges are the programs you or your family members are participating in. We have challenges for children, teens, and adults. There are different challenges throughout the year. Each reader must be enrolled in a challenge to begin logging their reading.

How do I log my reading or activities?

What is a badge?

Badges are rewards given to the reader after completing a reading goal or activity.

What are activities?

Activities are another way to participate in challenges. Activities can be anything from attending a library program to doing a random act of kindness. Completing activities can also help you earn badges.

What are tickets?

Some challenges include tickets and prizes.

Tickets are virtual entries into prize drawings. These allow you to select which prize drawings you want to be entered into. You can put all your tickets towards one prize or spread them out however you wish!

How do I use my tickets?

Once you've earned a ticket, be sure to click on the "Ticket Drawings" button near the top of the Beanstack challenge page. Click the "Add Tickets" button next to the prize you're interested in! If you're using the app, you'll need to select the relevant challenge from your list of current challenges and then tap the "Drawings" button. Then, you'll click on the prize you're interested in and hit the "Add Tickets" button.

How do I get prizes in Beanstack?

It depends on the challenge! Sometimes the challenge will require completion of a row, column, or diagonal of five squares on a challenge card. Other times, it just requires completion of a certain number of minutes or activities. Be sure to read the requirements of the challenge you join in the overview.

Friday, March 29, the East Library and Recreation Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All other locations will be closed. All library locations will be closed Sunday, March 31.
