Learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons with us at the Southwest Branch!
Our Dungeons & Dragons Free Play Sessions are designed to give you and your friends a space to learn the game, play, and practice your skills as a Dungeon Master!
Our Dungeons & Dragons Basics Sessions are designed to give you and your friends tips and tricks about creating characters, how to play, and DMing a campaign!
Join our Teen Services staff for Teen Time! During Teen Time, the Young Adult Area (2nd floor past the Makerspace) will be reserved for teens only. Spark Ideas will also be reserved for teen use only, so if you want a private room to study or hang out, you are welcome to use it.
Our Teen Services staff will be available for any reference questions.
Do you love creating new characters and developing new worlds? Taking original ideas and transforming them into stories?
Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join the Arlington Public Library for its teen creative writing program, Night Owls! We will use prompts and writing techniques to stretch our imaginations and help each other grow into better writers.
Want to have a say in what kind of programs and services teens will have at the library? Join Library Youth Ambassadors! Hone your leadership and teamwork skills while making new friends and shaping teen programs.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 5:30PM to 6:30PM (unless otherwise stated). Members must be approved Library volunteers and fill out the membership application.
Teens, join us at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library or the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch for a chance to give back to the community! We use this time to help complete fun projects for the library and to help out our patrons. Past projects have included making cards and craft items for our Books on Wheels seniors, crafting bookmarks for scavenger hunt prizes, or helping library staff to prepare for their programs. All supplies will be provided.
