Teens ages 13-17 are invited to spend an hour learning the basics of computer science and coding. Registration is required for this program.
Each class will go over different topics, so be sure to check out all we have to offer! Registration is required for this program and participants must be comfortable with using a keyboard, mouse, and computer.

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join the Arlington Public Library for its teen creative writing program, Night Owls! We will use prompts and writing techniques to stretch our imaginations and help each other grow into better writers.
Want to have a say in what kind of programs and services teens will have at the library? Join Library Youth Ambassadors! Hone your leadership and teamwork skills while making new friends and shaping teen programs.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 5:30PM to 6:30PM (unless otherwise stated). Members must be approved Library volunteers and fill out the membership application.
Teens, join us at George W. Hawkes Downtown Library for a chance to give back to the community! We use this time to help complete fun projects for the library and to help out our patrons. Past projects have included making cards and craft items for our Books on Wheels seniors, crafting bookmarks for scavenger hunt prizes, or helping library staff to prepare for their programs. All supplies will be provided.
