New or Used Material Donations
The Arlington Public Library and the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library gratefully accept donations of books and audiovisual materials in good condition. Bring items to any of our locations to donate. Depending on a few factors such as condition and popularity, we may add your materials to our collection for check out. The FFAPL collects all other donations to sell in the Sustainability Shop and in twice-yearly book sales.
Donations to the FFAPL are tax deductible. While we can't provide a monetary value for your gift, we're happy to write you a receipt for your taxes.

Adopt-a-Book lets you donate a book in memoriam or a tribute to a birthday, anniversary, or another special day. Use this donation form to donate.
Love Your Library: Amazon Wishlist
The Arlington Public Library has an Amazon Wishlist. The items in the list have been carefully selected by librarians to be added to the Library’s collection for our patrons to enjoy. If you would like to purchase an item for the Library, please click on the link above and make a selection for purchase. Unless otherwise instructed, Amazon will send the purchased items directly to the Library.
If you'd like to be recognized on a bookplate, please leave the following information in the "Free Gift Note" field at check out:

Contribute Your Time
Get Involved with your library by volunteering! You can volunteer with Arlington Public Library or at the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library book sales. We're happy to work with groups, so if you need volunteer hours for a school or business group, click here to learn more.
Currently featured volunteer opportunities include:
Improve library experiences by making sure that all materials are in their designated spot.
Lead tutoring sessions, conversation circles, homework help for 1st-3rd grade and support adults enrolled in our literacy programs.
Share your technology skills with a variety of library users.

Support the library through the purchase of recycled goods and Arlington Public Library branded items!
The Sun Club Sustainability Shop is sponsored through a grant from Green Mountain Energy Sun Club to promote recycling of our most used resource: books. The shop also sells Dreams Begin Here shirts, refillable water bottles that can be used at three hydration stations in the library, tumblers, eco-friendly office supplies. and an assortment of other items.
The Sustainability Shop is located in the first-floor lobby of the Downtown Library and will be open during all normal library operating hours.

Make your donation go further! Many companies will match their employees’ charitable donations. Please check with your company’s Human Resources representatives to find out if they’ll match your donation to the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library.

Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library
The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that exists to provide a source of financial assistance to the Arlington Public Library through the solicitation of tax-deductible contributions from private sources.
