Downtown Library Teen & Young Adult Center

The Teen & Young Adult Center in the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library has access to state of the art equipment for teens and young adults come and discover a variety of interest, whether through our varied and extensive programs and event or on their own. Located on the second the floor they have access to the makerspace. In the Tinker Room, those who like to create with STEM focus technology or they can create wearable creations in the Innovate Room. The  Create Room allows for those with a love of the digital arts to come and create stunning visual creations. We also have an X Box One for those who are into gaming. There are also laptops that can be checked out.

Northeast Teen Zone

The Teen Zone, located at the Northeast Branch Library, is the perfect place for teens to enjoy activities such as creative writing, robotics, and learn about entrepreneurship.  Students can connect and develop new friendships from the comfort of bean-bag chairs. We offer desktop computers, personal laptops, headphones, and other accessories for teens to check out anytime. We also have a Wii that students can play when the Teen Zone is open. We provide a fun, safe social space for teens to chat, read, listen to music, work on school/ personal projects, surf the web, and engage in online competitive gaming.
