We're excited to share that the Arlington Genealogical Society has generously donated $5,000 to help upgrade and improve the genealogy and local history room on the 3rd floor of the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. This is the latest in a long history 54 years of support from the Society to the Arlington Public Library.
The donation will go toward improving the Retro Tech Lab by purchasing equipment to scan 35mm slides and negatives, adding tools to display maps and charts without damaging the walls, getting better display furniture for research, and replacing a scanner for printed images.
